Hollywood’s biggest and brightest stars donned florals and flowy veils Monday night as they hit the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for “fashion’s biggest night out”.
This year’s Met Gala dress code, “The Garden of Time,” called on attendees to pay homage to the Costume Institute’s new exhibition — “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” — by “using nature as a metaphor for the impermanence of fashion.” From Met Gala co-chair Zendaya’s smoky blue Maison Margiela gown to Lana Del Rey’s ethereal Alexander McQueen veil, several A-listers proved they were game for the challenge as they walked the green carpet with looks both contemporary and vintage.
