Tell us a little about your Creators Club project.
My Creators Club project highlights the problematic foibles of family gatherings during the holidays. The goal is to provide content that can perfectly pinpoint some of the complicated feelings that arise during these times. My mustache is an essential set piece for the execution of my work lately and Creators Club is no exception as you will see. Shout out to all the mullets and mustaches that survived the pandemic lock down era.
What are three words you would use to describe your creative style?
Eccentric, silly, relatable.
What do you do when you feel like you are in a creative rut?
Meditation always helps. Or I just start writing and brainstorming and usually something comes.
What has been a recent source of inspiration for you?
Wellness culture and Los Angeles.
What are a few examples of your work you are most proud of or have been your favorite to create?
I was one of the OG Viners and loved being a part of the burgeoning creative video movement.
What was your favorite part of your Creators Club project? Favorite Clip?
My favorite part of Creator’s Club was the freedom all of us Creators had to bring our odd and original ideas to the table. The team at GIPHY was very encouraging and allowed us to follow our instincts which is always a pleasurable partnership.
My favorite clip I made is the “WE’RE ALL GAY” clip because it envisons a world where the holidays trigger positive emotional memories and re-imagines a patriarchal family member that is loving and excepting of his entire unique family.
