Tell us a little about your Creators Club project.
My Creators Club project invites you to revel in the pure nostalgia of the 70s & 80s fluff. From the creative direction, I took to styling my outfits and the fonts used represent elements of the era in which rollerskating found its glory days.
What are three words you would use to describe your creative style?
Vibrant, Eclectic, and Free-Flowing.
What has been a recent source of inspiration for you?
A recent source of inspiration for me comes from Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) individuals speaking up about the injustices we face in the digital and physical space. More specifically, seeing brands actively attempt to take notice of their discriminatory practices and do better.
What are a few examples of your work you are most proud of or have been your favorite to create?
My most recent campaigns with Nike and Facebook were both a blast to create. But, I am most proud of my Motorola Global Campaign because it gave me a chance to speak to a message that I strongly agree with.
What was your favorite part of your Creators Club project? Favorite Clip?
My favorite clip from the project is “On my way!” I love how my roller skates and vintage shorts compliment the entire scene. Not to mention, the boombox is so quintessentially 70s.
