GIPHY Launches New Tagline — “Be Animated”
GIPHY is more than just GIFs; we power visual communication everywhere.
We’re home to Stickers for your stories, Animated Text and Emojis, GIFs with sound, and so much more. We bring a loopy personality to the apps and cameras where people express themselves most. So it’s time to update our “All The GIFs” mission to the ever-expanding world that comes to us each day for ways to express themselves.
Now more than ever, we’re aware of our reach and responsibility to be a force of positivity, inclusion, and self-expression. So we’re refocusing our message as an aspirational call-to-action for both our company and our users. We’re inviting everyone to:
“Be Animated” means a lot of things to us. It’s our role in making conversations more moving. It’s our mission to bring that movement to unexpected places. It represents uplifting artists whose work consistently helps define internet culture. It means creating the content (and tools) that lets us express ourselves as clearly and uniquely as possible. It’s diversity, representation, and creating a more positive internet for everyone.
This encouraging message will be the north star of everything we do, from product to content to innovation to community. And it’s already started — in December, we launched our first ever HULU TV campaign featuring the work of some of our incredibly talented GIPHY Studios artists (Tianna Harvey and Audrey Beale).
Our celebration of unique talent and perspectives won’t stop there, and we’re excited about all the weird things we have in store for 2021. Stay tuned.
