Nearly a year ago, GIPHY pioneered a new form of advertising by introducing branded content through GIFs with the launch of our ad platform, giving brands a gateway directly into messaging for the first time. Our growth has been extraordinary since then, such as working with major brands and agencies — including Pepsi, Dunkin’, Wells Fargo, W Hotels, Quickbooks, and more — and expanding our team across New York, Los Angeles, and most recently, Chicago.
To top off a great year, we also welcome Alexis Berger to GIPHY — and back to the advertising industry at large — as our VP of Revenue. In this role, Alexis will be tasked with leading our revenue growth and team. This has already included opening our brand new Chicago office, which is now home to five GIPHY team members (and growing!).

An industry veteran and longtime friend of GIPHY, Alexis has a track record of turning startups into market leaders. Three of the companies she helped grow, Titan Worldwide, Adconion Media Group, and BrightRoll, were acquired for significant premiums. One of her biggest achievements was her four year run at Kargo, where she grew revenue from $0 to $135MM, hired over 65 employees, and was instrumental to their successful market positioning at the time. She’s been named by various publications, including Business Insider, as one of the industry’s Most Powerful Women in Mobile and is a strong voice for equality in the workplace.
