GIPHY’s Username Search Now Includes Even More of Your Content

Today, we’re excited to announce another expansion of GIPHY’s Username Search! Since December, Username Search has allowed GIPHY users the ability to access the content they’ve made on Desktop Sticker Maker anywhere GIPHY Stickers are integrated. As we mentioned in that post, Desktop Sticker Maker was simply the first step in not only making animated sticker creation more accessible, but also helping users access their creations anywhere GIPHY stickers are available.

Today, we’re expanding Username Search to include any sticker creations you make in the GIPHY app! From selfie stickers captured with CAM to animated text stickers created with the new Text Sticker Maker, all approved Stickers created via the mobile app can be found in GIPHY Search!

How it Works

Username Search allows you to access the stickers you make on GIPHY anywhere GIPHY Stickers are integrated. Instead of searching for an emotion, character, or particular phrase to pull up a GIF… simply enter your GIPHY @username in the GIF Sticker search field in the app and your approved stickers will appear!

To create stickers on GIPHY head to the GIPHY Desktop Sticker Maker or tap “Create” on the home tab of the GIPHY Search App. From the CAM experience, select “Sticker” or “Text” from the bottom of the screen and follow the prompts to create your masterpiece. Add stickers, captions, or both and hit “Upload” when you’re ready!

Once uploaded, wait a little while for us to make it available everywhere GIPHY is found, and then access it by searching for your username in any GIPHY Sticker-integrated app (see a demo in the video above)!
